Sankhya Shastra (also known as 'Spandan Shastra'), the Science of Vibration in Hindu Mythology, was given to the world centuries ago by the ancient Rishi - Kapilmuni. This science had been studied and passed down from generation to generation, and has formed one of the main bases of ancient Indian life.

The part which we wish to reach out to you, across the whole world, is the one pertaining to the benefits of this science - to that of Healing. And as to how it was that the Sages and Rishi-munis of yester years managed to lead a healthy life, without the help of modern medications and drugs - just on the basis of chanting Mantras, and the resultant vibrations created through them.

Today, at the beginning of this New Millennium, as millions continue to suffer across the globe of various health problems and thousands die every minute due to some of them - be it cancer, or the deadliest killer and the most recent being AIDS, and with the expectancy of many more of such deadly diseases that may keep attacking mankind in the future, we attempt to bring to you, through this ancient Indian science of Sankhya Shastra, a ray of hope!

This whole Universe is made up of galaxies. The galaxies are made of solar systems. And the solar systems are made of planets. Out of all this, our planet 'Earth', being one of the members of such a solar system, is made up partly of land and partly of water. On the Earth, there is a co-existence of man, animals, birds, vegetation, insects, viruses, edible substances, liquids, air, etc. The existence of every entity is interdependent on each other. When this is understood by us, the importance and effects of the qualities of the FIVE Elements, or PANCHAMAHABHUTAS, namely Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Sky, is given due consideration and taken into account.

On a still lake, even a small stone is enough to create vibrations and waves. Even if they are for a few seconds, the vibrations created on the surface of water due to this action are definitely observed, and the same is true for the universe too. The bigger the object falling in the water, the greater is the effect. But the effect is Definite. Newton, through his third law of Action and Reaction, teaches us the same. Every person, or thing, does create a similar effect on society, country, the world, as that of a stone falling on water. Some effects or reactions are seen, others unseen, but the effects or reactions continue to occur. Every animal or person existing within this universe - made up of the above 5 elements, is also made up of these 5 elements. And, the wheel of the world, the society and peoples' day-to-day life, keeps moving along in a calm and routine manner. But, at certain times, due to certain reasons, there does fall a stone on the still waters, resulting in ripples on the calm surface. These ripples in a man's life mean the suspicions, uneasiness, disappointment, depression, mental instability, diseases, death, etc. Such small and big ripples and their damaging reactions keep happening in life, resulting in people trying to find a solution for the same through different mediums. Due to the graciousness of the use of Kapilmuni's Sankhya Shastra, all such damages or ill effects had been taken care of in ancient times.

For us to repair the damage in a body, it is essential for us to look at the 5 elements of which this body is made up of:

1. Earth - We take solid medicines in the form of tablets - they could be allopathic, homeopathic, ayurvedic, or others, but the element coming into effect is Prithvi (Earth).

2. Water - Right from plain pure water to the oils removed from vegetation, undergoing a process to give rise to any type of liquid, be it in steam or vapour form, this is the Ap (Water) element.

3. Fire - In some diseases, the process of heating or giving warmth to the body is used to give relief, x-rays and radiation are also used to cure or decrease the extent of diseases. This is Tej (Fire) element.

4. Air - Different types of smells are useful in certain diseases. For example, oxygen, chloroform, aromatherapy, flower therapy, etc., i.e., Vayu (Air) element.

5. Sky - This is used to reach upto the innermost consciousness of mankind. The main difference between a human being and an animal is his gift of speech, as well as the power to interact with each other by spoken words and writings, thereby creating a togetherness by reaching out to others by understanding one's emotions and thoughts. The discovery of words, as well as the putting together of words for all the different languages, sounds, as well as vibrations, has been the success of mankind. The pronunciation of a complete word, as well as the combination of alphabets to form words, forms an everlasting vibration. There is a meaning in every word and its resultant vibrations. There is an inherent knowledge in the meaning of every word. In that knowledge, there is satisfaction, happiness, blessings, or sometimes, also unhappiness or curses. The sentence forming out of a group of words is like meaningful mantras. Many a people are born with a fistful of sorrows right from birth itself. Their entire life is spent in trying to get rid of their sufferings, but with no luck. We shall be taking the help of this ancient science to help us to get rid of such sorrows and sufferings. The body, which is made of these 5 elements, when attacked by diseases or when damaged, makes use of the first 4 elements as mentioned above, in the form of medications, etc., to get better.

An easier and very important way of using the existing vibrations within the fifth element of Sky, and whose existence was temporarily lost, was again reconstituted by my Guru, Shri Bhau Masurkar. For this, he underwent a lot of penance for 50 years, and after a lot of practical success, he taught the same to me, resulting in the creation of 'Dhanwantari Sankalpana' - (the project of imparting lectures on the subject for the benefit of people).
